The Role: Finance Controller
As our Finance Controller, you will play a critical role in building and scaling Jabu’s financial structure and controls to support our ambitious growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support Jabu’s rapid scaling in Southern Africa, managing key metrics and ensuring alignment with business goals
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead financial planning, including budgeting and forecasting, to guide Jabu’s financial trajectory in a high-growth environment
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements, compliance with regulations, and readiness for potential audits
- Cash Flow Management & Reconciliation: Design and manage efficient cash flow controls, reconciliation processes, and CIT operations, aligning with Jabu’s mission to make cash management seamless for clients
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to company leadership, delivering financial insights that shape strategic decision-making and keep us at the forefront of the industry
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement financial process improvements, optimizing everything from cash handling to financial reporting for scalability and efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in financial management, controlling, or similar roles—ideally within fintech, banking, or a high-growth, technology-driven environment
- Strong Knowledge of reconciliation, cash flow management, financial controls, and compliance standards
- Analytical & Strategic Mindset with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations that drive growth
- Willingness to Relocate to Zambia (and work across Southern Africa) for at least one year, with a strong desire to explore and contribute to emerging markets
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment and contribute to our collaborative, results-driven team
