  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor performance vs budget and investigate variances.
  • Drive ad‑hoc projects: controls, automation and consolidation.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting, Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, SA tax legislation and statutory requirements
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and reports
  • Support year‑end audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Process and review journals, accruals and provisions
  • Implement and strengthen financial controls and procedures
  • Review operational and banking access controls to eliminate incompatible functions
Planning, Analysis & Decision Support
  • Assist with annual budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Monitor performance vs budget and investigate variances
  • Deliver insights and recommendations to management
  • Support strategic and commercial decision‑making
Tax, Trust & Risk Oversight
  • Assist with VAT and provisional tax calculations and submissions
  • Ensure compliance with SARS deadlines and requirements
  • Review daily trust account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and sign‑off
  • Maintain and clear suspense reconciliations
  • Review settlement account reconciliations to the GL before month‑end close
Projects, Automation & Leadership
  • Drive ad‑hoc projects: controls, automation and consolidation
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, automation and risk reduction
  • Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Take on people leadership responsibilities including task delegation, coaching and performance planning
Job Experience and Skills Required
  • Newly Qualified CA(SA)
  • Strong academic achievements at school and university
  • 1 to 2 years post‑articles experience beneficial
  • Exposure to IT, Technology, FinTech or similar environments preferred
