Key Responsibilities
- Manage debtors: invoicing, customer reconciliations, credit control, and collection of outstanding payments.
- Manage creditors: processing supplier invoices, reconciliations, and preparing payments.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Ensure all transactions are captured accurately and processed within deadlines.
- Support external audit and internal compliance processes with necessary documentation.
- Perform variance analysis and highlight discrepancies for corrective action.
- Provide administrative and financial support to the finance department as needed.
Key Competencies & Skills
- Strong knowledge of debtors and creditors processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis, reporting).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of confidentiality and integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant financial/administration qualification (Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a financial administration role with exposure to debtors and creditors.
- Proven advanced Excel skills essential.
