Key Responsibilities
  • Manage debtors: invoicing, customer reconciliations, credit control, and collection of outstanding payments.
  • Manage creditors: processing supplier invoices, reconciliations, and preparing payments.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors ledgers.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, budgets, and financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all transactions are captured accurately and processed within deadlines.
  • Support external audit and internal compliance processes with necessary documentation.
  • Perform variance analysis and highlight discrepancies for corrective action.
  • Provide administrative and financial support to the finance department as needed.
Key Competencies & Skills
  • Strong knowledge of debtors and creditors processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis, reporting).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant financial/administration qualification (Diploma/Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a financial administration role with exposure to debtors and creditors.
  • Proven advanced Excel skills essential.
