Overview

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager with experience in FMCG to join our team, based at our offices in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial analysis and forecasting for the commercial aspects of our business. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to provide critical financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and drive profitable growth.

Requirements

• A tertiary qualification in BCom Accounting with CA(SA) / CIMA preferably
• Honours Degree in Finance Accounting / Business
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar (preferred)
• Finance data & Reporting systems experience
• Management reporting experience in an FMCG environment will be preferred
• A resilient individual with excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills
• Customer oriented, assertiveness and problem-solving skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning and analysis for the commercial aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, and operations.
• Deliver financial models, including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, and determine the appropriate processes, methodologies, and modelling techniques to produce low variance budget to actual.
• Provide analysis and insights into customer and product profitability, identifying opportunities to optimize revenue and profitability.
• Build and design insightful PowerBI reports through data from ERP to answer business questions. Analytics and Insights / Improved reporting and visualization
• Monitor performance against financial targets and provide regular updates to senior management on key performance indicators.
• Manage data models created for finance analytics and provide guidance on any changes required.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process for the commercial aspects of the business, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Assist with the consolidation of the budget and ensure variances are explainable on all the areas.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage all processes to ensure tight deadlines are met for both local and corporate submissions.
