Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Exports Administrator in Gauteng to manage the processing of export sales orders from start to finish. Responsibilities include overseeing export documentation, managing customer feedback, and fostering relationships with customers and departments. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in an exports role and strong communication skills. This position requires knowledge of customs acts and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 is mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar exports role is required.
  • knowledge of the South African and foreign customs acts is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process all export customer transactions accurately from entry to finalization.
  • Manage all export documentation and customer feedback requirements.

Job description

The Exports Administrator will be responsible for the processing of all export sales orders from start to finish, and to provide a support function for the sales team.

Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Oversee and process all exports customer transactions accurately and timeously from entry to finalization, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations.
  • Oversee all related export documentation, invoices and inspections.
  • Manage all exports customer feedback requirements regarding order status, backorder reporting and general inquiries in adherence to all policies and procedures.
  • Provide a supporting role to the sales team.
  • Develop positive relationships with exports customers and provide professional customer service and support to these customers.
  • Foster relationships with internal colleagues and relevant business departments, to ensure correct dispatch of export orders.
  • Use initiative and be proactive in resolving exports customer queries promptly.
  • Promote total customer satisfaction internally and externally through providing professional services and prompt query resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Key Competencies
  • Grade 12
  • Exports qualification / logistics or similar (highly beneficial)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Understanding the exports cycle, cross trade and documentation
  • Understanding of exports sales environment and export documentation
  • Knowledge of the South African and foreign customs acts
  • Computer knowledge: SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, telephonic as well as mail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
