Macsteel Tube & Pipe is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead our maintenance operations and drive technical excellence within our organization. This is a strategic leadership role that combines technical expertise with operational management, overseeing critical infrastructure and engineering functions.

Requirements

• BSc Engineering degree (Electrical/Mechanical) - NQF Level 8
• GCC Engineer certification (Government Certificate of Competency - Factories)
• GMR 2.1 legal appointment capability
• 10+ years' engineering experience including:
  • 5 years in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering operations
  • 3 years in technical leadership
  • 2 years in facilities management
• ECSA registration (advantageous)
• Code EB driver's license.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP, MS Office Suite
• Intermediate CAD drawing skills
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making capabilities
• Proven ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and capital projects

• Serve as the GMR 2.1 appointee, ensuring all machinery operations meet OHSA requirements.
• Lead and manage engineering operations across electrical, mechanical, and facilities functions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Oversee capital projects, budget management, and achievement of operational KPIs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage facility operations and maintenance programs.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
