We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on the mining and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a comprehensive understanding of both industries and a commitment to occupational safety and health (OSH) standards. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while achieving sales targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients in the mining and construction sectors, including mining companies, contractors, suppliers, and construction firms.
- Utilize your knowledge of Work at Heights and confined space standards to provide expert advice and recommendations to clients.
- Demonstrate honesty, diligence, and professionalism in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our solutions and address client needs.
- Facilitate training sessions for clients on product usage, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions tailored to each client's requirements.
- Continuously expand your technical knowledge and stay informed about industry developments and emerging technologies.
- Work independently to identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on achieving sales targets and revenue growth.
Requirements
- Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in external sales, preferably within the mining sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of Work at Heights and confined space standards, with a commitment to promoting workplace safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
- Technical aptitude to understand and communicate complex concepts to clients.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic industry environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Experience in the construction or mining industries is advantageous.
- Ability to work at heights is essential; experience in training is a plus.
- Experience facilitating client training sessions.
- Previous exposure to technical sales or application engineering.
- Familiarity with CRM software for managing client relationships and sales activities.
