30 hrs Teaching Assistant – could be part time roles by more than one person

Temporary until 31st July 2026 in the first instance

Start date: ASAP

Emley First School is friendly, community school in a beautiful rural setting, judged as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted in April 2024.

Working hours for this role will take place between 8:50am and 3:30pm Monday – Friday during term time but this could be full time or part time.

You will be supporting children in class, during playtime and during lunchtime. The role will be supporting children individually as well as in groups and could be anywhere across school with children from EYFS to Year 5.

We are looking to appoint a caring, conscientious, reliable member of support staff to join our dedicated, hard-working, friendly team. As a key member of our team you will work under the guidance of class teachers to support children.

The role will be temporary until 31st July 2026 in the first instance due to budget restraints.

We are looking for someone who:
  • understands the expectations of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum and is able to work effectively with children to enable them to reach their full potential
  • is hardworking, has pride in their work, is keen to be part of a team
  • is willing to support individual children with specific needs, and where necessary undertake training and adapt their practice as required
  • is resilient and can find positives in all situations
