What Will You Do?

• Create 3D assemblies comprising of large number of parts of very high complexity.
• Check own drawings and those of more junior draughtsmen to ensure the design and information given is adequate and correct for fabrication
• Implement engineering changes on standard and custom product drawings to improve functioning or ease of manufacture after consultation with production and design engineer.
• Create and issue detail drawings manufacturing
• Compile a comprehensive list of parts to provide project engineers and procurement department with accurate scope of work.
• Scrutinising drawings made by others to ensure the highest standards are maintained as to drawing quality, ease of manufacture and installation.
• Maintain up to date drawing storage and drawing register
• Generate thorough job hand over documentation following receipt of order
• Carry out site visits with the intention of equipment assessment for new installations and retrofits
• Liaise with application engineers to ensure correct drawing time is budgeted for at the tendering stage
• Ensure any mistake made on a drawing be rectified in order to prevent reoccurrence
• Exercise good time management to ensure drawing work is done within the budgeted time
• Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls

Your Experience Should Be...

• Grade 12/ Matric
• Formal drafting qualifications
• Above average computer literacy, competency in MS Office applications
• Working knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor
• Presentable verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of dust control systems’ components and their functions
• Experience in drawing pollution control equipment such as bag filter plants, cyclones and scrubbers
• Experience in drawing large steel structures
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes
• Exposure to on-site installations of large equipment
• Experience in fans or other rotating machinery is an advantage
• Autodesk inventor professional accreditation is an advantage
