A leading Retail Group is seeking an experienced HR Professional to join their team in Durban, KZN. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of Generalist experience, with a strong background in Industrial Relations and Recruitment. Responsibilities include representing the company at the CCMA and managing Trade Union negotiations. The role involves travel to Bloemfontein for two weeks each month and requires fluency in at least one African language. A National Diploma in HR is essential, as is a code 08 driving license.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
  • Extensive experience in Industrial Relations is crucial.
  • Experience in the retail sector is highly advantageous.
  • Effective communication in English is required.
  • Fluency in at least one African language is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Trade Union negotiations.
  • Manage recruitment of staff at branches.

The incumbent will also spend 2 weeks a month in Bloemfotein, servicing the Free State branches..

Requirements
  • Human Resources experience of at least 5 years as a Generalist.
  • Sound experience in Industrial Relations and Recruitment & Selection ESSENTIAL
  • Retail experience will be a HUGE advantage
  • Qualification of at least a National Diploma in the HR field
  • Good planning, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Effective writing skills in English
  • Must be fluent in at least one African language
  • Must have represented an employer at the CCMA at Arbitration level. ESSENTIAL
  • Must have liaised / negotiated with Trade Unions
  • Must have a code 08 driving license and be willing to travel extensively
  • Must have a valid passport
  • SA Citizens only
  • Must be Criminal Clear
  • Must reside in Durban(or be willing to relocate possibly at your cost).
  • Must also be willing to spend 2 weeks in a month in Bloemfontein servicing the Free State Branches.
