THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE :
- A relevant Matric or Grade 12 (equivalent) qualification.
- Logistical experience within car rental or logistics operations.
- Computer literate with proficiency in basic computer functions and applications.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by operational demands.
- Sound knowledge of the country's geography and key locations relevant to vehicle dispatch.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE :
- Managing and continuously improving vehicle turnaround times to ensure operational efficiency.
- Safeguarding company assets and resources at all times through vigilant oversight.
- Maintaining clear and timely communication with branches to meet operational requirements.
- Accurately allocating vehicles to appropriate locations and drivers based on business needs.
- Demonstrating strong geographical knowledge of South Africa to support effective dispatch planning.
- Monitoring vehicle locations and driver activities to ensure smooth operations and quick response to changes.
- Proactively identifying and resolving dispatch-related issues and conflicts.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date dispatch records, logs, and supporting documentation.
- Working closely with maintenance teams to ensure vehicles are road-ready and serviceable.
- Upholding compliance with all safety regulations and internal company policies.
