SITE MANAGER DETAILED TASKS AND DUTIES

ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for the Site Waste Discard Operation.

Achieve Waste Discard production targets in line with the contract.

Responsible for the Site Transport Operation.

Achieve transport targets in line with the contract with the Power Plant.

Provide leadership to all staff at the mine.

QAULIFICATIONS:

• 4 year degree/Diploma in Mining/Engineeringor equivalent
• SKILLS REQUIRED: 5 years experience at mine overseer level or senior

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for providing technical expert advice on logistics of mine operations including transport.
• Oversees the scheduling of maintenance of mine equipment.
• Ensures that all mining operations comply with all legislative and other requirements.
• Plans and forecasts operational requirements to meet production needs.
• Analyses problems and take appropriate action and ensures adequate training of production and maintenance staff.
• Determines strategy for the optimum use of resources in order to meet specific objectives.
• Develops and maintain communication structures and communicate work requirements and relevant information to direct reports ensuring that they have access to the required tools, equipment, material etc. to perform their tasks to the required standard.
