A digital media agency seeks a Digital Media Specialist to lead its digital media operations hub in South Africa. We are an ambitious independent media agency headquartered in Leeds, working across the full media landscape for a growing roster of clients. As part of our next phase of growth, we are building a dedicated digital media operations hub based in South Africa. This role is a pivotal hire for us. The Digital Media Specialist will be the founding member of this hub and will play a central role in shaping how digital media is delivered, optimised and reported across the agency. This is an opportunity to help design best practice from the ground up and to build a team over time.
The Digital Operations Director is responsible for the delivery, optimisation and reporting of all paid search and paid social activity across the agency, with a core focus on Google and Meta platforms. You will own day to day campaign performance, ensure consistent quality of output, and work closely with UK based strategy and client teams to deliver excellent results for clients. This role suits someone who loves specialising in paid search and paid social, is highly organised, and is motivated by improving efficiency through automation, process design and innovation. As the hub grows, you will have the opportunity to hire, train and lead additional team members.
Own the setup, management and optimisation of all Google and Meta campaigns across the agency. Ensure campaigns are built to best practice standards and aligned to client objectives and budgets. Proactively monitor performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scale success and resolve issues quickly.
Be responsible for consistent and accurate reporting across all digital campaigns. Build and maintain reporting templates and dashboards that provide clear insight into performance. Translate data into actionable insight that supports client decision making and optimisation recommendations.
Design and refine processes for campaign setup, optimisation and reporting within the digital hub. Explore and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and increase consistency. Stay close to platform updates and new tools, ensuring Invested clients benefit from the latest innovations.
Work closely with UK based account leads to ensure digital activity aligns with broader media strategies. Provide input into channel recommendations, budget phasing and performance expectations. Support client responses by providing clear performance insight and optimisation rationale.
As the digital hub grows, support the recruitment, onboarding and development of additional digital specialists. Set standards for quality, ways of working and best practice. Act as a mentor and technical lead within paid search and paid social.
Take ownership of building something new within a fast growing agency. Be comfortable operating with autonomy while contributing to wider agency goals. Show curiosity, initiative and a problem solving mindset as Invested continues to evolve.
