Role Overview

To deliver a comprehensive, 5‑week in‑person training programme for SMEs (HDPs), focused on harnessing the power of digital marketing tools to boost their online presence and convert customers online.

Trainers will guide participants in creating tailored digital marketing roadmaps, launching multi‑channel campaigns, analysing performance metrics, and integrating digital tools into their business operations.

The role requires facilitating hands‑on workshops, aligning with the programme’s structured learning outcomes, and equipping SMEs with actionable skills to achieve measurable business growth.

Main Duties
  • Facilitate interactive, in‑person workshops covering: Business Strategy & Digital Foundations
  • Customer Relationships & Customer Journey Mapping
  • Crafting Effective Marketing Campaigns
  • Harnessing the power of AI to boost Productivity & Marketing
  • Effective Leadership as an SME & How to create a Business Pitch
  • How to utilise Google tools to deliver actionable insights
  • Effective training delivery: assessing individual and group learning needs to tailor instructional methods accordingly, implementing diverse training techniques to accommodate various learning styles and ensure comprehension, and offering constructive feedback to participants to support their ongoing development
  • Collaborate with Programme Leadership: work closely with the Programme Manager and the Talent Lead; participate in regular meetings to discuss curriculum updates and integrate feedback for continuous improvement
  • Monitor and report on Participant Progress: develop assessment tools to evaluate participant engagement and comprehension, and provide detailed post‑session reports highlighting individual and group progress, including areas for improvement
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications or certifications in digital marketing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering training programmes focused on SME development in the areas of digital marketing, ad optimisation, customer engagement, marketing
  • Proficiency in Google tools (e.g., Analytics, Merchant Center, AI‑driven advertising tools)
  • Technical proficiency: comfortable using online delivery tools such as Google Meet, Slido and presentation tools; proficiency in navigating digital tools and platforms
Desired
  • Masters degree and advanced certifications in Digital Marketing
  • Experience working with SMEs or within emerging markets
  • Certification in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or other relevant marketing tools
  • Certifications in adult learning or instructional design, such as Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), Association for Talent Development (ATD) Certification

Conditions of Work

Location: Trainers are required to deliver in‑person workshops in Johannesburg or Pretoria, South Africa.

Schedule: The training programme spans 5 consecutive weeks, with sessions delivered during standard business hours (specific days to be confirmed).

Submission Requirements
  • Submit your CV – include relevant professional experience, qualifications, and certifications, particularly in digital marketing and training delivery.
  • Create and submit a short video (10 minutes total max). The video should include:
    1. Introduction – provide a brief introduction of yourself, including your background, expertise, and why you are interested in this role.
    2. Workshop Delivery – demonstrate your training style by delivering a concise lesson on a digital‑marketing related topic. Include a short deck if desired.
  • Submission deadline: all materials must be submitted by Monday, 14 April.
  • Selection process – shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview shortly after if successful.

Each cohort will consist of approximately 15 SMEs (Small and Medium‑Sized Enterprises), targeting business owners, managers, and key decision‑makers looking to enhance their digital marketing expertise, customer engagement strategies, and business productivity through technology.
