The Digital Creative Specialist role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and digital innovation. It blends the thinking of a strategist, the expression of a creative translator, the precision of a technical expert, and the instinct of a cultural trend spotter. This role is central to how ideas are expressed and amplified across digital and social platforms — driving the development and execution of integrated, culturally relevant, and award-worthy content strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Content Development
    • Build and implement content strategies across social media, influencer marketing, paid social, and social SEO.
    • Translate integrated marketing and creative strategies into digital-first, culturally relevant content plans.
    • Work with strategists to identify consumer needs, moments, and mindsets that inform Always On and campaign content approaches.
  • Cross-Channel Amplification
    • Lead the amplification thinking for ideas across paid, earned, and owned media — with a TTL lens focused on social-first execution.
    • Create distribution and engagement strategies to ensure the right content reaches the right people at the right time.
  • Platform Expertise & Technical Fluency
    • Stay ahead of platform updates, innovations, and algorithm shifts to inform strategy and content formats.
    • Develop channel-specific content recommendations for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter), Threads, and emerging platforms.
    • Be the go‑to for technical execution insights — from social specs to best practice formats to cutting‑edge interactive features.
  • Creativity Meets Culture
    • Spot trends, viral moments, and emerging conversations to inform tactical and real‑time social media ideas.
    • Co‑create with creatives, influencers, and partners to develop digitally native storytelling that breaks through the noise.
  • Innovation & Insights
    • Use analytics tools to track performance and draw insights that refine future content strategy.
    • Partner with analytics and performance teams to guide KPI setting, measure impact, and report on effectiveness.
  • CX, Digital Experiences & Mechanics
    • Collaborate with CX, UX, and tech teams to translate content strategies into seamless user journeys, ensuring content, design, and functionality work together.
    • Provide input on the development of microsites, landing pages, and immersive experiences, ensuring they ladder up to broader campaign strategies and brand goals.
    • Champion the integration of digital mechanics (e.g., quizzes, shoppable content, gamified experiences, UGC integrations) that drive interaction and engagement.
    • Ensure all content touchpoints — from social posts to site copy — contribute to a frictionless, on‑brand customer experience across the full funnel.
What You Bring
  • 6+ years in a social, digital content, or strategy role (agency experience a strong advantage)
  • A proven understanding of social media mechanics, content planning, and influencer ecosystems
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute with technical precision
  • Exceptional understanding of platform best practices, algorithms, and content ecosystems
  • Strong cultural fluency — from pop culture to subcultures to local internet behaviours
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative, curious, and comfortable working cross‑functionally
  • Experience with content planning tools, analytics dashboards, and publishing platforms
  • Award or pitch experience is a bonus
The Role Is Perfect For You If You Are
  • A half strategist, half creative, half digital technician, and part pop culture whisperer
  • Obsessed with where creativity meets technology
  • Naturally curious, analytical, and solution‑oriented
  • Energised by always‑on content, tactical thinking, and working at the pace of culture
  • Passionate about creating digitally native, thumb‑stopping, and results‑driven content
Bonus Points For
  • Familiarity with social PR or earned‑first thinking
  • Experience developing or supporting award‑winning digital work
  • Background in content measurement or performance analysis
