What you will be doing
  • Evaluates market sectors for emerging opportunities and monitors competitor trends.
  • Defines project goals, develops strategies, and liaises with approval authorities to gain timely and cost-effective approvals.
  • Prepares tender documentation, manages the tender process within probity guidelines, and liaises with management and consultants regarding financial, commercial, and legal risks.
  • Manages and runs meetings with construction professionals, negotiates design amendments and legal documentation, and oversees the evaluation process.
  • Manages the approval process for all applications, including development approvals, and instructs and manages external project management consultants.
  • Reviews the preparation of bid packages and contract documents, and oversees the management of each contract, reporting progress regularly.
  • Manages the completion / approval stages, the issue of construction certificates, and oversees Practical Completion and final certificates.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant documentation (leasehold or freehold), monitors progress, advises management of cash flow / scheduling issues, resolves legal / financial issues, and ensures accurate and timely information for Management Reports.

  • Experience as a Development Project Manager focused on strong financial management and cost control.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and advisors.
  • Capacity to work independently while ensuring clear communication and consultation with internal teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and planning ability, coupled with excellent negotiation / influencing skills to deliver results.
  • High level of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks under pressure, with essential proficiency in word processing, project scheduling, and detailed spreadsheets.
