Role Description
  • The Deputy National Operations Manager supports the National Operations Manager by overseeing and optimising operational performance across all WeBuyCars branches nationwide. This role acts as a strategic and operational bridge between key departments—including Sales, Buying, Facilities, Customer Care, Recon, Inventory Control, and Vehicle Condition Reporting—to ensure seamless vehicle flow and strong alignment of business processes.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensures strong operational execution across all national branches through effective control, process adherence, and cross‑departmental coordination. Maintains accountability for all core operational functions to optimise productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency.
  • Strategic Development: Leads and contributes to national operational strategy, driving continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Quality Management: Ensures all operational processes adhere to regulatory, safety, and quality standards while maintaining consistent vehicle presentation and operational excellence across the network.
  • Leadership & People Development: Provides leadership across the operations division, developing high‑performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Drives data‑led decision‑making by analysing operational performance through key systems and presenting insights that support strategy and continuous improvement.
Role Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in Operations Management, preferably in the automotive or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record in managing multi‑site operations and leading large teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle reconditioning, warehouse operations, and branch‑level performance management.
Technical Proficiency
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Operational reporting and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with pricing systems are advantageous.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business management (BCom or equivalent).
