Job description
Overview

As a Delivery Manager in our Digital Delivery team, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex, customer-facing digital initiatives across websites and mobile applications. You will act as a key delivery partner to our customers, working closely with their Project Managers, Programme Leads, QA leads, and business stakeholders to ensure clarity, alignment, and predictable outcomes.

You will bring structure and momentum to delivery by maintaining high-quality documentation, proposing and embedding effective delivery processes, and ensuring strong alignment across internal Product, Engineering, QA, and Delivery teams. This role also includes mentoring junior Project Managers as they grow into Delivery Manager roles.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Delivery, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, representing Digital Delivery confidently in customer and senior stakeholder forums.

What success looks like
  • Delivery moves forward consistently, with momentum and clear next steps at all times
  • Decisions are made and acted on quickly, with minimal hand-holding or delay
  • Plans, documentation, and tools are kept up to date without being chased
  • Risks and blockers are surfaced early and actively resolved, not just logged
  • Customers experience confident, proactive delivery leadership
  • Web and mobile releases land on time without last-minute chaos
  • Junior Project Managers show visible progress through hands-on guidance
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of web and mobile app initiatives for customers, from planning through to release
  • Act as a primary customer-facing delivery lead, working with client-side Project Managers, Programme Leads, QA leads, and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date delivery artefacts including plans, timelines, RAID logs, scope, and status reporting
  • Propose, implement, and continuously improve delivery processes across internal and customer teams
  • Work in close alignment with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, QA leads, and Business Analysts to ensure delivery readiness and shared understanding
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes, escalating clearly and early
  • Facilitate effective delivery ceremonies, checkpoints, and governance forums
  • Mentor and coach junior Project Managers, supporting their progression into Delivery Manager roles
  • Ensure effective and consistent use of delivery tools including Wrike and Jira
  • Communicate clearly and confidently in writing and verbally, tailoring messages to technical and non-technical audiences
