Job description
Job Function

To utilise data leakage prevention technologies to implement policies preventing the leakage of confidential and sensitive information from the organisation, aligned to relevant legislation within the jurisdiction of operation.

Key Performance Areas
  • Execute own work according to set operating procedures service level agreements.
  • Execute work in line with governance and compliance processes.
  • Provide continuous feedback on task delivery to support decision making.
  • Plan and organise own tasks to make sure that performance targets are met and standard operating procedures are adhered to (daily to 3 months).
  • Attend learning initiatives to improve work quality and enhance own skills.
  • Own and live up to the company values.
  • Execute work activities effectively and efficiently in order to maximise financial performance.
  • Deliver work activities according to set standards in order to satisfy customers.
  • Liaise with the Data Governance Officer to implement legislative controls.
  • Utilise DLP to locate and apply sensitivity labelling to digital content.
  • Conduct Enterprise DLP Risk Assessments.
  • Integrate DLP into solution implementations.
  • Develop and maintain a DLP Strategy Maintain an organisational DLP Code of Conduct and Policies.
  • Integrate DLP into practices for monitoring employees, including emails and file transfers.
  • Integrate DLP into processes for e discovery, conducting internal investigations, disclosure to law enforcement.
  • Maintain data leak prevention requirements for third parties.
  • Maintain a data leak prevention notice that entails the data handling processes of the organisation.
  • Maintain a data leak incident and breach response plan.
  • Liaise with Data Governance Office when performing breach notification and reporting to relevant stakeholders and law enforcement (if applicable).
  • Conduct ad hoc walkthroughs and assessments based on external events, such as breaches and potential incidents.
Qualifications Required
  • Post secondary non-tertiary education Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5).
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
  • Certified Information Systems Risk Manager (CISRM).
Experience and Skills Required
  • At least 3 years relevant experience.
