CTS Service Sales Manager–Atlas Copco
The CTS Service Sales Manager will be a pivotal member of our sales organization, responsible for leading the CTS business in South Africa and neighboring countries.
The role demands a strategic thinker with hands‑on sales management experience and a passion for delivering sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Define the sales strategy, using market intelligence and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
- Design and optimize the sales territory to ensure balanced and efficient coverage.
- Build and manage a high‑performing sales team, including recruiting, training, and coaching.
- Set sales targets that align with the company’s strategy and growth ambitions.
- Achieve profitable, sustainable growth with a focus on the CTS tactical matrix and consolidated profitability for the CTS business.
- Collaborate with Distributor Manager to develop indirect sales channels and maximise market share.
- Develop a high‑quality aftermarket strategy in line with Compressor Technique global strategy for Oil Free Air and Industrial Air products.
- Grow service revenue and profitability by ensuring high customer satisfaction and promoting services and spares capabilities.
- Increase the "1 to 1" ratio by at least 3% per annum and grow Service Plan Business to meet and exceed a 40% revenue ratio.
- Contribute to the development of systems, sales tools, and training to gain a competitive advantage.
- Promote effective policies for aftermarket products and services to enhance brand recognition, market share, and profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators and scorecards, driving corrective actions related to profitability, growth, pricing, and forecasting.
- Work with Business Controller / Credit Control to resolve receivables disputes promptly.
- Demonstrate collaboration as a key member of the Management Team.
- Lead, develop, and motivate an experienced marketing‑sales team.
- Coordinate marketing strategies with the Digital Communications Manager, developing budgets and promotional plans to support sales and profitability.
- Provide communications teams with accurate content for digital marketing, media relations, and campaigns.
- Commit to group performance and development targets, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
- Empower, coach, and grow people in line with Atlas Copco's corporate values and guidelines.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Grade 12.
- Relevant Sales and Marketing qualification.
- 3–5 years proven experience as a Sales Manager.
