Overview

Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented CRM Campaign Executive to join our Marketing team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for executing CRM campaigns focused on Takealot's subscription service.

Reporting to the CRM Manager for our Subscription Service, you will play a crucial role in driving customer engagement and retention through targeted CRM campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Creating, scheduling and sending CRM campaigns that focus on Takealot’s Subscriptions Service, including all campaigns sent via email, in-app and push notifications. This includes conceptualising the design and copy briefs.
  • Executing lifecycle journeys and campaigns for Takealot’s subscription service to increase customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value, prevent churn, and grow cross-sell and up-sell opportunities. Identify relevant channels and key messaging.
  • Crafting CRM campaigns aimed at increasing personalisation, mapping existing customer journeys and planning/setting up new lifecycle/triggered campaigns.
  • Working closely with the CRM Manager to ensure campaigns are sent on time, reflect on-site products accurately and include relevant messaging.
  • Managing administrative tasks related to the briefing process, checks for accurate rendering across platforms, coordinating approvals and sending campaigns.
  • Optimising processes to streamline the briefing, creation and sending of CRM lifecycle campaigns.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, brand) to ensure content and design are on-brand and relevant.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key CRM metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Conducting A/B tests to inform more effective campaigns.
  • Applying segmentation techniques to build appropriate audiences for email, push and in-app notifications to meet campaign objectives.
  • Using Liquid to build dynamic and personalised marketing campaigns.
  • Staying informed about email and CRM competitor activities, trends and best practices.
  • Designing and sending surveys to capture customer preferences, satisfaction and experiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Ability to take feedback constructively
Qualifications
  • A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in CRM or Email Marketing
  • Experience in e-commerce or digital marketing
  • Experience working with Braze or other CRM platforms is a must
  • Braze certification is advantageous
  • Experience in campaign reporting and analysis is a must
  • Experience using Liquid or other template languages is advantageous
  • Experience building triggered/lifecycle campaigns is a must
  • Experience creating personalised marketing campaigns is a must
