PWC Private is looking to appoint a Tax Manager with specific corporate tax experience listed below.
Review corporate income tax returns and supporting schedules prepared by Associates using electronically captured data.
Monitor and review income tax assessments and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Manage a portfolio of corporate tax compliance clients, ensuring all SARS deadlines are met.
Liaise with SARS on client matters, including responding to queries and managing audits or disputes.
Maintain accurate client records and correspondence.
Lead and manage the audit of tax engagements.
Review tax computations and deferred tax calculations as part of the audit.
Liaise with audit teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of tax deliverables.
Identify and communicate tax risks and opportunities during audit engagements.
Support the development and implementation of audit methodologies for tax-related areas.
Oversee the preparation and review of tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for financial reporting.
Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate tax disclosures in financial statements.
Provide insights on the tax impact of business transactions and changes in legislation.
Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
Support the sales strategy of leadership.
Ensure team adherence to internal risk management policies.
Keep abreast with the ever-changing tax landscape through relevant technical training.
Develop deep knowledge of bespoke PwC developed digital tools, applications and business processes.
Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and team members.
Oversee WIP and debtor management for assigned clients.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Income Tax Act and tax accounting principles.
Exhibit strong analytical, numerical, and judgmental skills.
Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.

A degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field with a tax specialism.
Minimum 5–7 years' experience in corporate tax, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in corporate tax compliance, audit of tax, and tax accounting.
Experience in managing teams and client portfolios in a professional services environment.
