Overview

Cooling technician for Africa

Location: Gauteng

Salary: Market-related

Our client is seeking a talented and ambitious engineer or technician for an exciting and challenging role designing and installing cold storage solutions for food and agricultural businesses across Africa.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of cooling solutions for clients in new industries and new markets across Africa
• Design the cooling specifications and select the main components for new and expanding cold storage systems
• Build technical and commercial proposals for cold room and other cooling systems
• Oversee supplier and installer quality assurance processes, including design reviews and compliance checks
• Provide after-sales technical assistance and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• A diploma, degree or other technical qualification, preferably in refrigeration or other related industry
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in the refrigeration or other related industry (e.g. electric/mechanical/HVAC)
• Experience in and preferably based in an Eastern or Southern African country
