ANEW Hotel OR Tambo is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team in Gauteng, Benoni.

The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality dining experiences through preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals, while upholding standards for food safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

Key Cook Responsibilities – Food Preparation and Quality Control
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist with daily mise en place to ensure timely kitchen operations.
  • Monitor food presentation and portion control for consistent guest satisfaction.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to maintain consistent food quality.
  • Report any equipment faults or maintenance needs to the Kitchen Manager.
Kitchen Hygiene, Food Safety and Sanitation
  • Practice excellent food hygiene and comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of all ingredients and cooked items.
  • Participate in daily and weekly kitchen cleaning schedules.
  • Dispose of waste properly and support kitchen recycling initiatives.
Team Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with other cooks, kitchen assistants, and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate progress or issues promptly.
  • Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks as directed.Support training of new team members in daily kitchen procedures.
Required Skills and Experience
