A reputable construction company in Cape Town seeks a Construction Planner/Build Program Scheduler. This role requires a tertiary qualification in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying, and 5+ years of relevant experience in medium to large scale building projects. Candidates must have proven skills in CCS Candy, Primavera, and advanced Excel, as well as strong interpersonal and report writing abilities. The position involves developing project schedules and ensuring contract compliance, with a flexible work environment both on-site and in the office.
Our client, a reputable and well established construction company, focused on medium to large scale building projects, seeks to employ a professional Construction Planner / Build Program Scheduler, to join this progressive and expanding professional team in Cape Town.
Please note that this role is not suited to candidates with a background in Civils but rather focused on building of malls, medical centres, luxury residential estates, high-rise commercial buildings and educational institutions KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION : You will have Matric, coupled with a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar, coupled with 5+ years' experience in Project Planning / Scheduling of medium to large scale building projects, preferably on site.
You will have an understanding and proven experience in interpreting the scope of work, drawings and Bill of Quantities to develop a realistic schedule per project.
You will have proven experience in CCS Candy, as well as advanced Excel and Primavera software.
You will have experience in measuring "end value" and developing quantifiable activities per schedule and formulating chain of activities and responsibilities to reach the deliverable.
You will have extensive knowledge and experience in JBCC contract interpretations with regards to "extension of time claims" and methodologies for analysis of impacts on the schedule.
You will have above average interpersonal skills, good report writing skills and be flexible to work both in office and on site.
