Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team, within the Chief Commercial Officer’s reporting line.

This is a key role to ensure both Trustmarque and Ultima (“the Group”) provides commercial contractual support to Sales and wider business units stakeholders.

The Commercial Manager is responsible for managing the day‑to‑day commercial activities and action requests for contractual support as they arise, including NDA, MSA / PSA, SOW etc creation, review, and client negotiation. This will include, but not be limited to, support for bids and contracts made under the UK public sector frameworks that the Group transact through. The successful candidate will have a background in contract management, process optimisation, and preferably an understanding of UK public sector frameworks relevant to the Group.

Responsibilities:
  • Commercial support:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert with regards to commercial contractual requirements
  • Mitigate the Group’s potential commitments and liabilities within the standard Commercial guidelines and business requirements
  • Collaborate with teams and departments across the Group to enable deals, supporting Sales and where required be client or supplier facing to support contractual and deal negotiations including the flow up or down of appropriate legal provisions
  • Contribute to ensure submission of winning bids for framework applications and call‑off ITTs
  • Act as an authorised signatory according to the Commercial team authority level.
  • Manage contractual paperwork and consult with all necessary relevant departments (e.g. commercial, marketing, sales)
  • Work closely with external Legal Counsel where required
  • Contract management:
  • Ensure that contracts adhere to the Group standards and/or framework conditions and quality standards
  • Ensure that all executed contracts are filed, tagged, and maintained within the central Commercial workspace (SharePoint)
  • Contribute to the ongoing accuracy and updating of the Commercial Policy and associated Playbook.
  • Risk management:
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with contractual artifacts and deals
Key Experience/Skills
  • Holds an appropriate professional qualification (degree, LLB, LPC, CILEX, Paralegal qualification).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and accuracy are critical
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of UK public sector frameworks (e.g. Crown Commercial Services, NHS Shared Business Services and KCS Procurement Services frameworks)
  • Proven experience in commercial and contractual creation and review.
  • Familiarity with the IT technologies sold by the Group (including Microsoft and Cisco)
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in a client‑facing Commercial role within Information Technology, or a related field, preferably within a Partner or Vendor organisation.
