Job summary

An established wealth-management organisation is seeking a Client Relationship Officer to support private clients while ensuring exceptional service delivery. This role includes engaging with qualified leads, responding to client queries, and ensuring compliance in administrative processes. Candidates must possess a 3-year tertiary qualification in finance/commerce and 3–5 years’ experience in financial services. A valid driver's license is required. This permanent, full-time position is located in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Qualifications

  • Experience in needs analysis and financial/estate planning.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with allocated qualified leads, booking and closing appointments for wealth specialists.
  • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally.
  • Track and manage all leads to ensure follow-ups occur within prescribed timelines.
  • Prepare and organise documentation for client appointments and reviews.
  • Ensure all activities comply with FAIS and FSCA requirements.

Overview

An established wealth-management organisation is seeking a Client Relationship Officer to support private clients while ensuring exceptional service delivery. This role focuses on servicing an assigned client book, supporting wealth specialists, managing leads, and ensuring compliance in all administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with allocated qualified leads, booking and closing appointments for wealth specialists.
  • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, delivering best-in-class service.
  • Track and manage all leads to ensure follow-ups occur within prescribed timelines.
  • Maintain and submit daily reconciliations and figures for the team.
  • Prepare and organise documentation for client appointments and reviews.
  • Check deal packs, cover schedules, and will applications for accuracy before submission.
  • Assist in clearing outstanding requirements to finalise new business.
  • Use the CRM system effectively for all client and lead activity.
  • Maintain strong product knowledge to support client questions.
  • Ensure all activities comply with FAIS and FSCA requirements.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of investment and fiduciary services.
  • Fast learner with the ability to understand financial products and internal processes.
  • Tech‑savvy and proficient in CRM systems.
  • Awareness of competitor offerings.
Minimum Requirements
  • 3‑year tertiary qualification in finance/commerce.

Preferred
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (completed or in progress).
