Job summary

A financial services firm is seeking an Accounting professional in Cape Town to maintain accounting records and prepare financial statements for offshore trusts. The ideal candidate will have a BCom Accounting degree, preferably with SAIPA or SAICA articles completed. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, experience with Caseware and Xero, and excellent communication abilities, as it involves collaboration with various teams and clients. Emphasis on detail and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting graduate having completed either SAIPA or SAICA articles.
• Practical experience in the financial services environment, particularly with trust structures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and produce accurate financial statements.
• Ensure entity ledgers are up-to-date and identify payment requirements.
• Provide assistance to the Investment Accounting team with reconciliations.

Skills

Accounting knowledge and competence including IFRS for SMEs

Technical experience in Caseware

Knowledge of Xero

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills

Education
