Overview

Dis-Chem Pharmacies (CJ Marketing) has an opportunity available for a CJM Marketing Operations Supervisor to join their Delmas team to manage and optimize marketing workflows, processes, systems and procurement in the CJ Marketing Operations division. This individual will lead administrative and operational marketing support across teams, drive efficiency in project execution, and coordinate cross-functional efforts between marketing, supply chain, agency and digital team. The role involves ownership of end-to-end campaign operations, cost management, supplier coordination, and reporting to ensure seamless execution and financial accountability. The role oversees product lifecycle management (PLM) and stock planning, new product development (NPD), and the implementation of efficient marketing systems and processes.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration
  • 3–5 years in a marketing operations, marketing project coordination, or related administrative role

Advantage:

Marketing Operations Management:

  • Lead and mentor the marketing operation team, providing guidance and support to achieve department goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources efficiently across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance development to team members.
  • Assist to manage brand campaigns and category-level marketing initiatives.
  • Plan and coordinate the company\'s participation in trade shows, TLC conferences, and customer events.
  • Identify areas for improvement and optimize marketing efforts based on data-driven insights.
  • Monitors the quality of supplier services and providing feedback if unsatisfactory.

Workflow and Project Coordination:

  • Improve and implement marketing systems, tools, and operational processes.
  • Lead and manage departmental projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage product costing to ensure financial targets are met across purchasing and packaging.

Product Lifecycle & Stock Management:

  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to manage stock planning and movement.
  • Ensure sufficient promotional activity and innovation to drive inventory turnover.

  • Negotiate with manufacturers and suppliers to optimize costs and ensure compliance with quality and business requirements.
  • Maintain supplier agreements and oversee fulfilment of business processes.

Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Monitors the safe usage of company vehicles & assets.
  • Conducts regular inspections on company vehicles and building and arrange for maintenance, fixes as required.
