Overview

RPO Recruitment's client, a well established civil contractor in the Western Cape, is currently on the lookout for an experienced Civil Construction Procurement Manager in Cape Town.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the Procurement Department's supply chain strategy and procurement clerks; managing the sourcing, purchasing and timely delivery of correct materials, equipment and services at the right price and within budget while adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

Requirements
  • National Diploma / BTech degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement management in the civil construction sector
  • Proven experience managing procurement team for construction projects
  • Strong background in construction (civil engineering beneficial) materials and principles supply chain management
  • Familiarity with procurement and ERP software (e.g. BuildSmart, MS Projects or similar) with proficiency in MS Office
  • Contracts Management skills
  • Good business ethics
  • B-BBEE Compliance knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of integrity, organisation skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards
