Contract Period: Trimester 1 & 2 of 2026 Academic Year

Salary Notch: R270,498.00 PA, plus 37% cash in lieu of benefits.

Requirements
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Recognized and relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (REQV 13) or related field
  • Recognised NQF L5 (or higher) qualification in Project Management or related field
  • Advanced Teaching Diploma in TVT / Post Graduate Diploma TVET / Diploma in Secondary or Higher Education
  • Valid SACE registration (not provisional registration)
  • Relevant Trade Test certificate will be an added advantage
  • Teaching experience will be an added advantage
  • Sound subject knowledge and work‑related applications
  • Be able to teach civil engineering subjects Report 191 N4 – N6
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Passion for teaching and learning
  • Customer care; leadership and management skills; assertiveness; good record keeping and administrative skills; be a team player, have passion for learning and teaching; as well as good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Result Areas

Conduct classes in Civil Engineering subjects N4-N6 including theoretical and practical classes in Mathematics, Building and structural Construction and/or Occupational Certificate – Project Management modules. Assist with enrolment, registration and induction of students. Organise relevant curricular activities to ensure that subject learning areas of the learners are conducted in a proper manner. Record and report absenteeism. Provide a conducive environment to teaching and learning.

  • Provide feedback to students regarding their performance and progress
  • Liaise with Senior Lecturers, Head of Division and Student Support Services officials in providing support interventions to students
  • Invigilation duties
  • Attend to uploading and management of LMS subject‑related portal.
