A leading engineering firm in Secunda, Mpumalanga, is seeking a Group Leader – Civil Engineer to establish and grow a civil engineering team. This role involves ensuring quality assurance, business development, and managing project execution in line with company standards. The ideal candidate has a B Eng/BSc Eng degree, at least eight years' experience, and strong leadership skills. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a standalone profit center within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years’ relevant experience in civil engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as Professional Engineer.
• Experience in detail engineering on multidisciplinary EPC / EPCM projects.
• Hands-on experience in civil structures and foundations in the Petro-chemical industry.
• Good interpersonal relations for marketing services.

Responsibilities

• Establish, build, and grow a civil engineering team.
• Perform quality assurance on civil engineering designs.
• Develop business from existing and potential new clients.
• Quantify requirements and establish term contracts with key clients.
• Ensure productivity of the group in finances, contract management, and customer service.
