Our client, a well-established wine estate situated just outside Stellenbosch, is seeking a hands‑on and mechanically skilled Cellar Technician to join their team. This role is vital to the smooth running of the cellar, with a strong focus on maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, and other cellar machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all cellar operations during harvest and throughout the year, including crushing, fermentation, racking, and bottling.
  • Maintain and repair pumps, filters, presses, and general cellar equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Support cellar hygiene and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and sanitised.
  • Adhere to safety and operational standards at all times.
Requirements
  • Mechanical experience is essential – including the ability to maintain and repair pumps and machinery.
  • Previous cellar experience will be beneficial.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands‑on, labour‑intensive work.
  • A proactive, positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
