Job summary

A financial services provider in Cape Town is seeking a highly competent Compliance Officer. This role involves overseeing compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulations, and developing policies. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of compliance experience, strong knowledge of applicable laws, and excellent analytical skills. A proactive approach to managing regulatory requirements in the fintech space is essential. This full-time position is based onsite in Cape Town.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' compliance experience within a Financial Services Provider (FSP) environment.
• Strong working knowledge of FICA, FAIS, AML/CFT obligations, and FSCA regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in the fintech, payments, or crypto-asset space advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement the compliance framework in line with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring of internal processes for compliance.
• Develop and update compliance policies and procedures.
