A leading firm in sales is seeking a Business Development Executive based in Johannesburg to drive growth for their marketplace platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in selling industrial equipment, particularly in the electrical and pneumatic sectors. Responsibilities include engaging with OEM and manufacturing clients, presenting platform benefits, and managing a high-value client pipeline. This role requires self-motivation and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to develop tailored marketing strategies to enhance client acquisition and retention.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in selling industrial equipment across sectors such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and mining. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the market, understand the key industry players, and know how to communicate the unique value of the clients website.
Professionals with experience in selling into these industries will already possess the insight to engage effectively not only with end-users but also with the suppliers of industrial equipment/OEMs, who represent our primary customer base. This role requires someone who can translate industry challenges into tailored solutions, building trust and driving measurable results.
Position: Business Development Executive
Location: Craighall, Johannesburg (includes regular travel within Gauteng and surrounding regions)
Drive growth for the website through field-based business development.
Expand marketing outreach, grow subscription-based services, and manage product listings.
Focus on OEMs, manufacturers, and clients in electrical, pneumatic, and automation sectors. (examples: anyone who sells & wants to advertise their products at a very reasonable rate.)
Reports directly to the Managing Director.
