Job description

We are recruitinga dynamic and results-driven Business Development Consultant to drive growth and identify new business opportunities for our clientwithin the interior design industry. This role involves building strong client relationships, sourcing new leads, and promoting our interior design services to prospective clients in the commercial /retail /hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets such as hospitality, retail, corporate, and property development.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, industry events, cold outreach, referrals, and digital platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with architects, property developers, real estate professionals, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Develop tailored presentations and proposals that communicate the value of the company's design services.
  • Work closely with the design and project management teams to align client expectations with service delivery.
  • Track sales targets, monitor pipeline activity, and provide regular performance reports to leadership.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of trends, competitor activity, and potential growth sectors.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
  • Maintain accurate client records in the CRM system.

Personal Attributes:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition, preferably in the design, architecture, property, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of the interior design process and the ability to communicate design value propositions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office (or Google Workspace).
  • A network within the design, architecture, or property development sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field (preferred but not essential).
