A financial services company in Gauteng seeks a Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years' experience. The ideal candidate will engage with clients to elicit product requirements, analyze business needs, and prepare specifications for development teams. JHB MM-2 We are looking for a Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Analysis role, of which a minimum of 3 years must be in the financial services industry, long-term insurance, investments, wealth management, healthcare administration, or employee benefits.
Any technical skills will be an added benefit.
Work with the relevant Delivery manager and Client to elicit accurate and comprehensive product roadmap/backlog requirements. Work with the relevant Delivery manager and Project Manager to analyze client requirements to determine scope and effort in support of the client commercial engagement. Complete modelling, including providing Product Manager with input to business case; and conduct product demonstrations and provide sales support.

Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to analyze their objectives and clarify the stakeholder needs or problem/opportunity statement. Undertake stakeholder and competitor analysis. Ability to undertake requirements review, validation, and to develop user stories. Ability to apply the relevant data analysis technique – whether in business, software, or information level. Facilitate requirements analysis/discovery sessions and design workshops to discover information related to the process or requirements from business stakeholders. Work with Delivery Manager, Client, and developers to elicit accurate and comprehensive functional and non‑functional requirements from project stakeholders. Analyze and translate business requirements from clients into business requirements specifications that are used by architects, developers, and testers to build and test a software solution. Participate in the planning and prioritization of project scope requirements with stakeholders. Map customer requirements to existing system functionality and identify any gaps. Examine existing and/or create new business processes including understanding data flows; prepare user stories and prototype mock-ups for new services and enhancements. Identify and clarify constraints and work closely with external and internal stakeholders to design and implement the best possible solution within these constraints. Create functional requirements specifications. Requirements management through proven traceability matrices and models.
Translate business requirements to functional and non‑functional requirements for the Development Team. Create and update feature documentation in support of client UAT as well as Production deployments.
Assist the tester(s) – as required – with the translation of the business requirements documentation into the relevant test scenarios and test cases and the review of these test plans. Promote the quality of delivery by validating and verifying that the delivered functionality meets the requirements – during internal testing (prior to UAT). Assist with the validation and prioritization of test results and defect resolution. As required, assist client with the creation of UAT test plans. As required, provide sign‑off on a feature after delivery on behalf of the Product team.
Develop training materials and deliver training to relevant user community (internal and/or external stakeholders). Develop and/or assist with review of User Guides.
Participate in Post Implementation Review sessions.
Develop, implement, and manage analysis methodology (templates, processes, standards) and provide leadership and support to other Business Analysts and team members.
