Overview

Join a premium bank as a Broker Support – Short-Term Insurance in Durban. In this client-facing role, you’ll support a Risk Advisor in servicing and managing a portfolio of commercial short-term insurance clients. We’re looking for someone who can drive operational excellence, build trusted relationships, and ensure a seamless client experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and manage a portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Handle policy renewals, endorsements, retentions, and general queries.
  • Support the Risk Advisor with client onboarding, quoting, and policy issuance.
  • Verify and update client data accurately.
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain compliance with FAIS and internal risk and governance standards.
  • Contribute to operational improvements and customer-focused service delivery.
  • Actively participate in building a culture aligned with the organisation’s values and transformation goals.
Requirements
  • Matric.
  • FAIS-compliant qualification for Categories 1.2 and 1.6 (Short-Term Personal & Commercial Lines).
  • RE5: Regulatory Examination for Representatives.
  • DOFA for Cat 1.2 and 1.6 must reflect 12+ months of experience.
Experience
  • 3–5 years in a short-term insurance brokerage environment.
  • Solid experience in Commercial Lines (non-negotiable).
