An international, mission-driven non-profit operating across South Africa and other regions is seeking a detail-focused Bookkeeper to keep financial operations accurate, compliant, and on time. You’ll join a collaborative Shared Services–Finance team that supports programmes delivering life‑changing care while aligning with global finance standards.

What you’ll do
  • Process day‑to‑day transactions with accuracy: cashbooks, supplier invoices, petty cash, credit card purchases, and customer invoices.
  • Prepare and maintain budget vs actuals for projects, ensuring alignment with the accounting system and clear utilisation reporting.
  • Set up and process payments on the banking platform; handle routine bank interactions.
  • Perform bank and supplier reconciliations and support the annual audit.
  • Provide ad‑hoc finance support to strengthen controls and efficiency across the department.
What you’ll bring
  • A National Diploma in a relevant Cost & Management Accounting field (or equivalent).
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role.
  • Working knowledge of SAGE Pastel Partner and SAP (advantageous), plus experience with project finance reporting, project costing, and allocation.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a knack for accuracy, analysis, and problem‑solving.
  • Clear, professional communication, resilience under deadline pressure, and a supportive, team‑oriented approach.
