JOB OVERVIEW

Set up designated function rooms to group's requirements in accordance with Hotel standards.

Maintain cleanliness and working condition of all respective equipment, guest and service areas.

Retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Use equipment only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of:
  • Daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people.
  • Location of all Hotel function space and names of rooms.
  • All Departmental/Hotel policies and procedures.
  • All safety guidelines.
  • Set up table linens, skirting and tabletop items (water pitchers, ashtrays, glasses, etc.) as specified by group and in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Inspect linen, silver, and china prior to using them.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism.
  • Maintain all equipment and facilities in a organized, clean, safe environment.
  • Review BEO's at the beginning of each shift to ensure room is set as contracted.
  • Communicate with Banquets Management regarding any special needs.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas.
  • Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guest to Banquet Manager.
  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
  • Delivering alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks for service to your customer's table.
  • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Refresh rooms as scheduled, following departmental standards.
  • Turn over any lost and found items to Supervisor.
  • Transport any food and beverage trays/items in public areas to service areas.
  • Accommodate guest requests for additions/changes to scheduled arrangements courteously and in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Report any damages, maintenance problems or safety hazards to the Supervisor.
  • Serve guests food & drinks during event as required.
  • Prepare side station for service.
  • Be able to answer questions related to buffet or menu.
  • Provide exceptional service during the service of meals.
  • Provide continuous attention to details before, during and after the service of the meal.
  • Complete all assigned side work duties in a timely manner.
  • Follow proper clearing and cleanup procedure.
  • Follow proper handling of hotel equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times observing all safety rules.
  • Follow proper beverage handling procedures.
  • Complete assigned side duties following departmental procedures.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
