Overview

We are looking for a B2B Partnerships & Outreach Officer on a 1-year fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for identifying, securing, and managing strategic partnerships with corporates, NGOs, hospitals, government departments and community organisations. A key focus of the position is to generate revenue through corporate training contracts, sponsored cohorts and organisational enrolments for Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) and both occupational & CHE qualifications. The role also leads community outreach initiatives, particularly the activation of partnerships such as the Orange Farm Primary Healthcare Clinic, ensuring meaningful social impact and practical engagement opportunities for learners. This position requires a highly motivated, relationship-driven professional who can represent the school effectively, cultivate long‑term partnerships and support the institution’s academic and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with corporates, hospitals, NGOs, government departments and other stakeholders across the health sector.
  • Secure long‑term collaboration agreements supporting SLPs, QCTO occupational qualifications and CHE-accredited qualifications.
  • Initiate and negotiate MOUs, workforce development agreements and training partnerships.
Revenue Generation
  • Drive sales organisational uptake of SLPs, QCTO occupational qualifications and CHE-accredited programmes.
  • Secure bulk enrolments, sponsored cohorts and funded training pathways.
  • Engage HR, Skills Development, Learning & Development (L&D) and training managers to promote programme offerings.
Funding & Resource Mobilisation
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities from corporates, foundations, donors, SETAs and development agencies for SLPs, occupational and CHE-accredited qualifications.
  • Secure bursaries, scholarships, training sponsorships and multi‑year funding agreements.
  • Assist in developing funding proposals and donor engagement strategies.
Professional Body & Regulatory Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with key health‑sector professional bodies such as the South African Nursing Council (SANC), South African Medical Association (SAMA), HPCSA, Pharmacy Council and other relevant entities.
  • Support collaboration efforts linked to CPD opportunities, professional recognition and the alignment of SLPs, occupational qualifications and CHE-accredited programmes with sector expectations.
  • Represent the school in professional body engagements, dialogues and education forums.
Outreach & Community Engagement
  • Coordinate community‑based initiatives including the Orange Farm Clinic partnership and other primary healthcare sites.
  • Facilitate service learning, student placements, health campaigns and innovation‑driven community health projects.
  • Strengthen the school’s community footprint and build local stakeholder networks.
Marketing, Visibility & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with Marketing to develop co‑branded campaigns and promotional materials highlighting SLPs, QCTO qualifications and CHE offerings.
  • Promote partner involvement in events such as masterclasses, innovation labs, webinars and community engagements.
  • Represent the school at conferences, stakeholder meetings and sector events.
Programme Pipeline Development
  • Convert organisational partnerships into ongoing enrolment pipelines for SLPs, QCTO occupational qualifications and CHE-accredited qualifications.
  • Identify workforce needs within partner organisations and recommend programme alignments or new offerings.
  • Provide employer‑driven insights to strengthen programme relevance and expansion.
Minimum Requirements
Education
  • Honours degree required in Public Health, Health Sciences, Business Development, Marketing, Social Sciences or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in business development, partnership management, stakeholder engagement or donor relations.
  • Demonstrable experience working with healthcare, training, development or NGO sectors.
  • Proven track record in revenue generation, sales or securing organisational partnerships.
Technical Knowledge
  • Understanding of health systems, community health or the South African health sector landscape.
  • Knowledge of training/education environments, SLPs or workforce development (advantageous).
  • Strong proposal writing, negotiation and presentation skills.
