Job Title : Aviation (Airport) Planner
Responsibilities
- The Airport Planner is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing airport infrastructure projects including runways, terminals, roadways, and support facilities. The role focuses on long-term development, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Planning & Design – Design and layout of airport infrastructure, including runways, terminals, and road systems.
- Master Planning – Develop airport master plans to accommodate future growth and service needs.
- Environmental Review – Conduct environmental impact assessments and noise abatement strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate with government agencies, communities, and stakeholders.
- Project Management – Lead planning projects, including scope, schedule, and budget oversight.
- Data Analysis – Analyze operational and passenger data to inform planning decisions.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure alignment with FAA and other regulatory standards.
- Mentorship & Training – Support and train junior planning staff.
- Collaboration – Work closely with consultants, contractors, and agencies.
- Specific Responsibilities – Develop and update Airport Master Plans and Airport Layout Plans (ALPs).
- Prepare FAA 7460 applications and related documentation.
- Conduct capacity and demand studies and simulation modeling.
- Support environmental reviews for new developments or expansions.
