Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor for a team in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a Commerce or Business degree majoring in accounting, CA/CPA certification, and at least 3 years of external audit experience. Qualifications

  • Draft annual financial reports.
  • Conduct and document audit planning and completion procedures.
  • Assist in statutory audits with general-purpose financial reporting.

Our client is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Auditor for their team in Brisbane, Australia.

Location:

Brisbane, Australia

Requirements:
  • Commerce or Business degree majoring in accounting,
  • completed your CA/CPA.
  • 3 years’ experience (at least) as an External Auditor, ideally within a mid-tier or top-tier audit firm
  • An understanding of assurance/audit skills and of audit techniques and methods
  • An understanding of IFRS or Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), Australian Auditing Standards (ASA) and relevant legislation applicable to assurance engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional client skills, including the ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with the client and a proactive approach to managing client expectations and the assurance engagement
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically MS Office
About:
  • Liaising with clients concerning audit and accounting queries
  • Collating and documenting audit evidence over material balances and transactions recorded in financial reports
  • Drafting of annual financial reports
  • Conducting and documenting audit planning and completion procedures
  • Conducting statutory audits with general-purpose financial reporting
  • Assisting senior staff with ad-hoc assignments
  • Reviewing audit work papers prepared over straightforward areas by junior audit staff
  • Completing other assurance engagements as they arise
