Job Description
An award-winning global accountancy and tax advisory firm is seeking a full‑time, permanent Audit Quality Team Assistant to provide administrative support to the Audit Quality team. Hybrid with working hours 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
You will play a key role in supporting the team within the Audit department where confidentiality, personality and a proactive approach are essential. You will work within the Audit Quality team to provide administrative support, working closely with senior members, managers and the wider Audit department.
Key Responsibilities
Auditing Team Support
- Providing administrative assistance and support to the Audit Quality, Audit Technical and Audit Training teams.
- Attending and minuting team meetings and supporting with actions.
- Typing and amending documents with speed and accuracy.
- Assisting with diary management and room bookings.
- Liaising with regulators and other contacts to arrange external meetings.
- Coordinating with team members to ensure the efficient running of the greater Audit Quality Team.
- Supporting with monitoring of compliance with firm policies and procedures.
- Support for Cold File Reviews (CFR), Route Cause Analysis (RCA), Engagement Quality Reviews (EQR) and various Quality policies and procedures.
Training Support
- Liaising with external venue bookings for training sessions.
- Joining instructions for training sessions and updating training tools.
- Monitoring attendance and support of our Learning Management System.
- Editing and uploading training content to our Learning Management System.
- Updating audit courses logistical details and calendar.
- Liaising with the firm's Early Talent Advisors on all trainee matters.
- Handling invites for inductions for all new joiners.
- Managing course content calendar and course dates.
- Support with the Technical, Compliance and Ethics consultations app.
- Maintenance of Quality intranet micro‑sites.
- Audit department communication, support with the annual audit conference and large scale annual audit training.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint.
- Knowledge of audit/accountancy would be advantageous.
- Exceptional organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills are critical.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Ability to use own initiative and be proactive.
- Identify priorities and action on them.
- Tact and discretion in dealing with confidential information.

- This is a full‑time, hybrid position in CBD, Cape Town, 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
- Working hours: 09:30 – 17:30 SA time.
