The purpose of the Associate Software Engineer is:

Participates in planning, designing, developing and testing software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products.

A typical day at ACI for an Associate Software Engineer is:
  • Collaborate with team members and various stakeholders to design, develop, test and deliver software solutions.
  • Work as part of a small, agile team.
  • Find and implement solutions to problems.
  • Exhibits good technical and business judgement and thorough understanding of how customers use the product when dealing with product requirements, complex design issues, trade-offs, etc.
  • Mentor and be mentored by others.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:
  • Higher education (Bachelor's degree) in computer science or related field.
  • Experience coding with an object-oriented programming language. We use primarily Java and Python but believe that software developers need to be flexible and able to upskill on new languages and tools quickly.
  • Willingness to learn, both old and new technologies and to solve problems.
  • An attitude to take on challenges.
  • Able to collaborate with a highly collaborative team.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required, including ability to interface well with others.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure are required.
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
  • Should be self‑motivated and capable of working independently
