Job description

Babylonstoren has an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintenance, planning and organising to become part of the Babylonstoren team.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or BTech diploma in facility management or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance.
  3. Section 13 electrician qualification with an Electrical Trade Test (Red Seal) qualification would be advantageous.
  4. Experience in cooling systems would be advantageous.
  5. Experience in cooling and electrician work in a factory would be advantageous.
  6. Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  7. Must have relevant planned maintenance training.
  8. Experience in the hospitality sector would be advantageous.
  9. Ability to multitask.
  10. Organisational and time-management skills.
  11. Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  1. Act as liaison between operations and maintenance.
  2. Improve workforce productivity and work quality.
  3. Eliminate potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts, and material and equipment access.
  4. Responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.
  5. Job knowledge regarding what needs to be done, required labour hours, etc.
  6. Responsible for ongoing planned and annual shutdown maintenance.
  7. Assist with development of annual overhaul / shutdown schedules.
  8. Assist with all administrative tasks.
  9. Maintain workshop (receiving and dispatch of stock to site).
