Job summary

An innovative education consultancy in South Africa is seeking an Admissions Partner to guide families through the enrolment journey. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, with a passion for education and a strong sales aptitude. You will be responsible for converting enquiries into successful enrolments while ensuring data accuracy. This position may require evening or weekend work during peak times.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a customer-facing sales or customer-service role, preferably in education, ed-tech, telecoms or financial services.
  • Fluent in English; Afrikaans and/or a South African vernacular language is highly desirable.
  • Willing to work some evenings/weekends during peak enrolment periods.

  • Track and nurture leads while adhering to service level agreements.

Job description

As an Admissions Partner you will act as a trusted advisor to prospective families, guiding them through the full enrolment journey. Using a consultative approach, you will match each learner’s needs to the right academic pathway (CAPS, IEB, SACAI, or Cambridge) and convert enquiries into successful enrolments while maintaining impeccable data accuracy and compliance. Your success will be measured by enrolment growth, lead-to-enrolment conversion rates, and outstanding parent-experience scores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Engagement & Consultative Selling: Respond promptly to inbound WhatsApp, phone, e-mail, and chat enquiries; Conduct outbound follow-ups and schedule virtual consultations; Apply consultative sales techniques to uncover motivations and recommend tailored solutions; Use CRM (HubSpot) alerts to prioritise high-intent leads and reduce response times.
  • Pipeline Management & Conversion: Track, nurture, and convert leads within agreed SLAs; Follow up on paused or incomplete applications, document gaps, and payment queries; Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly enrolment targets.
  • Admissions Support & Compliance: Guide families through subject choices, grade placements, and curriculum requirements; Collect, verify, and process all admissions documentation in line with DBE, POPIA, SACAI, IEB, and Cambridge standards; Maintain 100 % CRM data accuracy.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Liaise closely with Marketing, Enrolment Co-ordinators, and Onboarding teams to ensure smooth hand-overs; Attend weekly training on products, systems, and sales best practice; Share insights to optimise campaigns and improve the admissions journey.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Completed undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years in a customer-facing sales or customer-service role (education, ed-tech, telecoms, or financial services advantageous).
  • Technical: Proficient user of CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and digital comms tools.
  • Languages: Fluent English; Afrikaans and/or a South African vernacular language (e.g. isiZulu, Sesotho, Xhosa) highly desirable.
  • Availability: Willingness to work some evenings/weekends during peak enrolment periods (Dec–Jan).
