Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to lead internal process optimization and team development. This is a strategic, hands‑on role where the individual will become an expert in the company's AP systems, train and document processes, participate in hiring, and execute advanced AP and bookkeeping tasks. The position is directly tied to the firm’s operational scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • AP System Mastery: Deeply learn all AP platforms, systems, and workflows. Take ownership of process improvements and error‑proofing.
  • Training & Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for all AP tasks and workflows. Train team members and oversee onboarding for new hires.
  • Process Management: Perform day‑to‑day AP tasks as needed and ensure consistency and scalability across all AP operations.
  • Bookkeeping Support: Provide support for higher‑level tasks such as reconciliations, vendor aging review, and data verification. Assist with quarterly reviews and system audits.
  • Leadership & Hiring: Collaborate on all future AP and other hiring initiatives, including job scoping, interviewing, and onboarding. Monitor team performance and provide ongoing coaching.
Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in full‑cycle Accounts Payable and bookkeeping.
  • Two or more years in a training, team leadership, or process improvement role.
  • Direct restaurant industry accounting experience is non‑negotiable.
  • Proven skills in documentation, knowledge transfer, and team building.
  • Strong interpersonal and project management abilities.
  • Experience with Restaurant, MarginEdge, Craftable, QBO, and Excel is required.
