Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Accountant based in Constantia, Cape Town. The role involves managing a multi-entity group's full accounting function, preparing monthly management accounts, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Candidates must have a BCom Accounting degree and 3 years of post-article experience. A competitive salary of R35,000 to R40,000 p.m. is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full accounting function for a multi-entity group.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis.
  • Review and reconcile municipal and utility accounts.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are captured accurately.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, debtors, and creditors.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, tax, and other statutory returns.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS standards, and relevant legislation.
