Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This role you’ll be responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and maintaining compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of financial tasks including month-end close, financial analysis and year-end audit support.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate financial reporting, general ledger and monthly reconciliations.
• Assist with audit prep, fixed asset management and month-end close.
• Manage creditors, invoice verification, forex advances and customer statements.
• Process payroll data, employee expenses and ensure cash flow forecasting.
• Support budgeting, variance reporting and tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, etc.).
• Maintain up-to-date compliant financial records.

Requirements

• Qualification: BCom Accounting or equivalent.
• Experience: A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work with accounting software. Knowledge of Pastel and BillQuick is highly preferred.
• Nice-to-Haves: Experience with outsourced payroll processing.
